After the exit, Hong and his staff from the KFA were seen partying and dancing with “local women.” People are also angry that he accepted the job from the corrupt and dishonest Korean Football Association, when people protested against it, and thus was paid 2 million USD a year annually. Korea underperformed massively. They're top3 team in AFC so going to the WC is not an achievement as AFC had 9 teams. Fair enough if they had a group of death or lost but gave it their all. Japan lost to Brazil, there's a difference and actually pushed them as well as impressive performance in group stage vs Netherlands and Tunisia. Their coach is actually good and already proved himself last WC 2022 beating Spain and Germany so ofc Japanese fans are more ok with the exit.
